Gradara
Gradara Gradara is ancient fortified village a short distance from Cattolica and its beaches. It features a pleasing hilly landscape and is known for its Rocca Malatestiana, open to public. Inside it, you can admire the ancient armory, the torture chamber, a chapel and some spaces with original five and six-century furniture.
San Marino
San Marino is Europe’s third smallest country and the world’ most ancient Republic. Pay a visit to the three towers connected by paths to the below citadel enclosed by three wall rings. From its mount’s peak, visitors can enjoy a unique and unforgettable panorama encompassing Romagna’s countryside and the Montefeltro hills, until the Adriatic sea.
Urbino
Located 485 meters above sea level, Urbino has preserved over the centuries its artistic and cultural flair. Its Renaissance-style heart is Palazzo Ducale, the city’s symbol and guardian of several masterpieces including some of Piero della Francesca and Tiziano’s paintings. Other points of interest are Casa di Raffaello (Raffaello’s Home), il Duomo (the Dome), Chiesa di San Domenico (San Domenico Church), San Francesco Church and San Sergio Church.
San Leo
San Leo rises on an enormous rock in Val Marecchia, about 30 km from Rimini. On its highest peak rises La Rocca, the impregnable fortress which, once a jail, with well-known detainees such as Conte di Cagliostro (the Count of Cagliostro) and Felice Orsini. San Leo’s panorama is one of the region’s nicest and most picturesque ones: the view encompasses the surrounding headlands and extends over the Marecchia valley until reaching the sea.
Frasassi
Grotte di Frasassi (Frasassi Caves) lying inside Parco naturale regionale della Gola della Rossa and Frasassi (Gola della Rossa and Frasassi Regional Natural park), in the province of Ancona, and representing one of the world’s grandest and charming underground trails. Visitors can choose between a tourist route, accessible to everyone or experience the emotion of a speleological walk.
Loreto
Place of worship and pilgrimages for millions of devotees since medieval times, it encloses a stately Basilica, Christianity’s most relics, the Home inhabited by the Holy Family in Nazareth, the one where Virgin Mary was born and where Jesus Christ lived until we turned 30.
